Our Temple
Welcome to Temple Beth Shalom! We are a small, yet active congregation, which is always growing, not only in size but also in spirit and community. Our membership is composed of all ages, families and singles, Jews and non-Jews and Jews-by-Choice, all levels of observance and come from all branches of Judaism. We are truly a haimisch mishmash! We also have an active Hadassah chapter including women not only from Temple Beth Shalom, but all the surrounding area. Our temple stands upon the volunteer work of our members, and we are thankful for their efforts in teaching, maintenance, and both lay & business leadership.
We had a wonderful Purim shpiel and now look forward to Passover! If you will be visitng the Emerald Coast during Passover, please consider attending our Communinty Seder. The information is on pg. three of our Bulletin, the link to which is in the upper right corner of this page. Reservations are limited, and must be made and paid for on or before March 22, 2010 - the absolute deadline.
We are delighted that Rabbi Erin will be returning to us next year for a second round of leadership, education & chavurah.
When Rabbi Boxt isn't visiting us from the HUC campus in Cincinatti, services are led by our capable band of Lay Leaders.
Our student Rabbis inspire and educate us. They and our lead B'nai Mitzvah tutor, Chuck London, prepare our great kids for their special days.
If you live in the area, we hope you will join Temple Beth Shalom. If you are visiting, we heartily welcome you to join us for our Shabbat worship, which is somewhat casual yet lively. For all services, be prepared to sing!
Please scroll down to the section of Reform Jewish Links from the URJ. There you will find links to 10 Minutes of Torah, the week's Torah Portion, the Holidays and all about Reform Judaism. Links are updated weekly or, for the 10 Minutes of Torah, daily.
